Dear David, what a top, top man. I first met DK when he worked at, i think it was EMI in the early 80's. Then of course he moved on to Seddons later. What first struck me about him was that i thought "this man is not a lawyer". Not because i did not think he was capable............he was one of the very best. Its just that he had no side, ego, BS. He was and always was professional,a giver of good council, funny, straight, trustworthy, very good company in fact.I would invariable bump into him at various music biz events and knew i could make a beeline for him and he would be an oasis in a desert of the usual music biz naffness. He was a music fan which i loved. I can't say that i knew him that well but well enough to have had some shared times, good lunches and a good old natter. I could always telephone him and pick his brains and knew it "wasnt on a meter". Many many times i have been asked by a band, label, publisher, producer, songwriter...whoever "who is a good lawyer.i need someone"............well i would always say "David Kent". A testament to his life is that apart from being a loving husband and father he helped and advised so many careers. a top man indeed.i miss him. brian justice
